Aardwolf Brewing Company
1461 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32207
In 2013, three US Green Building Council North Florida members, Glen Wieger, Carrie-Lynn Black, and Hava Villavarde met in San Marco talking about ways to help "move the green needle" in Jacksonville. They developed an idea for a festival that brings local "green" organizations and businesses together in one place and you can't have a great festival without some great local beer!
In order to emphasize the local focus of the festival which would occur at Aardwolf Brewing Company, they thought of the prominent lions in the San Marco Square which represent the area. The name of the festival was born- The Green Lion Festival.
Green Lion Festival is a festival that seeks to promote and elevate the awareness of green-focused businesses and organizations in Jacksonville, Florida. We aspire to be a green and eco-friendly festival while reaching out to the community.
This year we are shutting down Hendricks Boulevard to provide MORE space for the festival attendees to enjoy themselves AND to allow even More local green-focused businesses and organizations to participate.
